O'Neill, Emily: - Emily O'Neill is a writer, artist, and proud Jersey girl, but owes her poetry education to Cambridge's Cantab Lounge, home of the the Boston Poetry Slam. Her first collection, PELICAN, won the inaugural Pamet River Prize from YesYes Books, and her work has been featured in The Best Indie Lit New England, Sugar House Review, and Whiskey Island. Her poem de Los Muertos was selected by Jericho Brown as the winner of Gigantic Sequins' second annual poetry contest. She has a degree in the synaesthesia of storytelling from Hampshire College and lives in Medford, MA.
