Family Sailaway by Derek Curzon
Family Sailaway is the second in the Sailaway Trilogy and starts six months after the original book, Surprise Sailaway. Sarah and Paul's relationship is blossoming. Sarah receives a flyer from CZN cruises, so when they visit her aunt and uncle at Christmas, a week's cruise is discussed, planned and booked. This time the ship is bigger, the cruise longer and with a hurricane brewing close by, there could be rough seas ahead. Sarah's cousin Megan is also on board and as a young and single female, who knows what she'll get up to! With other families trying to enjoy themselves on board and interacting with Sarah and co, what kind of cruise will they have? And what is going on with a fellow passenger that Megan has befriended and Sarah seems to know who is behaving rather strangely?
Derek Curzon is the author of the Sailaway Trilogy. Born and raised in Dundee, Scotland, he studied accountancy before joining RBS in 1989. He has worked in accountancy, financial services and customer services. Derek's first cruise was his honeymoon in 2005. After his fifth cruise in 2013, he decided to write about his experiences. This soon expanded to include characters, plots and his first book. In 2012, he came second in a competition run by P&O to describe cruise experiences. He has written an article about cruising published in 50 Plus Magazine. He writes a weekly, fictional cruise blog, Nautical Nights, which takes a humorous look at life aboard a cruise ship and the activities of the crew and passengers. Extracts can be found at the back of the book.
