Farmyard Beat by Lindsey Craig

Author Lindsey Craig teams up with Arthur creator and bestselling artist Marc Brown in a toe-tapping farmyard dance-a-thon--perfect for toddler and preschooler read-alouds. As soon as the sun goes down, the animals are up (Sheep can't sleep. Sheep can't sleep. Sheep can't sleep 'cause they got that beat ) Before long, there's a giant farmyard dance party, complete with funny animal sounds. But what happens when all the racket wakes up Farmer Sue? Here's a colorful bedtime story that begs to be read aloud.

Lindsey Craig was born into a family of singers and dancers. She often perceives music in mundane things, from blaring vehicles to thrumming crickets, when she wakes up tapping her foot. Her children's play, Cinderella's Shakespeare, is played all across the country, and she has created a musical. Feet that dance! She lives on a small island in Washington State with her husband and children.

Marc Brown is the creator of Arthur, the star of numerous picture books and a PBS television show that has won six Emmy Awards. He also illustrated Laura Joy Rennert's Purchasing, Training, and Caring for Your Dinosaur, as well as Judy Sierra's New York Times bestsellers Crazy About Books and Born to Read. He splits his time between Martha's Vineyard and New York City.
