Author: Oliver Herwig
Oliver Herwig is a freelance journalist based in Munich, Germany. With a doctorate in humanities, he studied at the University of Regensburg, the Williams College (MA), the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana and the University of Kiel. Today, he teaches design theory at the Hochschule fü¾˜¶˜¼r Gestaltung in Karlsruhe and Linz Art University. Previously, from 2006-2009 he taught communication at the HBB Basel. For his reportage on the London Eye, he received one of the 2000 Karl-Theodor Bird prizes for outstanding technology journalism. In 2009, he won with a contribution in the Frankfurter Rundschau the COR Journalist Award living and design. He has been a guest editor of Wallpaper* magazine and has authored a number of architecture and design books.
