Ferreting by David Bezzant
Drawing on a lifetime's experience the author answers the question of why in this day and age the modern ferreter still practices the art and for those who do he offers a study of the ferret. Topics covered include the origin of the ferret, equipment, housing, care, breeding and working the ferret and includes information on illness and injuries.
David Bezzant has spent most of his adult life in smallholdings of various sizes and has kept traditional breeds of sheep, pigs, goats, and poultry. Pursuing an interest in old-fashioned forms of pest control, he is an expert on the use of ferrets and working terriers and is the author of two books published by Crowood on the subject: Rabbit Terriers: Their Work and Training and Hunting with Ferrets.
