Vankin, Jonathan: - As author of the book CONSPIRACIES, COVER-UPS AND CRIMES, the first comprehensive, journalistic investigation into America's underground of conspiracy theorists on both the left and the right, award-winning journalist Jonathan Vankin is uniquely qualified to not only put the pieces of the Donald Trump pandemic story together, but to put it all in perspective in CLOSE TO ZERO. Vankin co-wrote (with John Whalen) a follow up to CC&C, THE 50 GREATEST CONSPIRACIES OF ALL TIME. That book became a series, compiling and dissecting every major conspiracy theory of the era. He later co-authored (also with Whalen) a book about movies, BASED ON A TRUE STORY (BUT WITH MORE CAR CRASHES), rooting out the true facts behind 100 films that claim to be based on a true story. Along the way, Vankin's writing has been published by The New York Times Magazine, LA Weekly, Salon, and others. He has also served as a comic book editor for DC/Vertigo Comics, writer of graphic novels, and co-author of the successful off-Broadway show FOREVER DUSTY, a bio-musical of the great British pop star Dusty Springfield.
