Filj and the Go Anywhere Machine by Jay Sonty
Filj is a squid who lives in a house in a bustling seaside town and has a pet dog called Jarvis, a Springer Collie he rescued from the sea. Filj spends most of his time in a Fire Bucket and skateboards to get around (and a squid in a bucket on a skateboard can move like lightning). Filj works as an assistant to his Aunty Inkjet (another squid who lives in a mechanised kitchen sink), and every day he is responsible for testing the inventions Aunty Inkjet builds in her farmhouse. This book revolves around the Go Anywhere machine, his Aunt's latest invention. It flies, drives, climbs and goes underwater, and Filj tests the Go Anywhere machine under the watchful eyes of Aunty Inkjet, who follows him whilst flying her modernised, antique Triplane overhead. Filj's story is set in the current day and is intended to be a light-hearted story to be read by, and with, children of every age.
