Fitzgerald, Jon: - With a degree in Film Studies from the University of California at Santa Barbara, Jon Fitzgerald directed his first film in 1994, and then cofounded the Slamdance Film Festival in 1995 and was the Executive Director for the next two years before becoming the Festival Director at the American Film Institute (1997-1999) and then the Santa Barbara and Abu Dhabi International Film Festivals. In 2003, he formed Right Angle Studios, a consulting firm that provided services to numerous film festivals and indie filmmakers. In 2009, Fitzgerald transitioned back into production, developing socially relevant films through Cause Pictures (The Back Nine, Dance of Liberation, The Highest Pass, The Milky Way, Warrior One). The website provides a filter to quality social impact films, supported by podcasts, showcases, and web series, while increasing awareness and donations to related causes around the world.
