Julie Flynn was born and raised in the North East of England. After a brief visit to Canada, she immigrated in 2001 and made North Vancouver her home. She soon developed a love for the outdoors especially trail running in the mountains and forests. Her running adventures have inspired her to explore writing. In particular, a 200-mile foot race in the Italian Alps where she used many of the Ten Essentials more than once. The proof of their importance and her imagination has been captured in this book, which is her first.
