Giesler has worked with the Illinois Fire Chiefs Association to write and instruct the curriculum for the Fire and Life safety Educator and Community Risk Reduction section of the Fire Officer I and Chief Fire Officer programs. She has also served as a fire inspector for the City of Downers Grove and other positions throughout her career.
