The First Ever Christmas by Gray Jolliffe

Over 2000 years ago, 24 hours BC, the shops were empty......There were no Christmas trees, no decoration, no tinsel, no houses swamped in fairy lights, no flashing Santas in sleighs, pulled by lit up reindeer.Turkeys slept the happy sleep of the unworried. But then a carpenter called Joseph and a virgin called Mary had a baby. And the next day the world change forever.Marketing was born.Henceforth all mankind would receive annual gift items whether they wanted them or not.Do you want the full story? The details who said what whom? And what whom said back? The joy, the angst, the tears, the guilt?Don't get your hopes up. This is a cartoon book. This is a wry and hilarious humour book from one of Britain's best cartoonists.
Cartoonist Gray Jolliffe is best known for his witty Wicked Willie series, as well as Chloe & Co., which appears in the Daily Mail. His work also appears in Cosmopolitan, Creative Review, Hello and Prospect. Collaborating with Peter Mayle (author of A Year in Provence) his Wicked Willie books have sold millions of copies. Born in the UK and raised in the US and the Bahamas, Gray returned to England to study architecture and then worked in advertising for many years. Picking up a pen, and combining his doodles with a natural talent for wordplay, his illustration career was launched.
