As a boy growing up in Germany during Hitler's rise to power, Dieter has been seduced by the pomp and circumstance of war. But as global hostilities intensify, he is called upon to fight for his country in a conflict that he doesn't fully understand. Now he must run from everything he knows. With most of his family dead, Berlin in ruins, and the Russian army closing in, Dieter can no longer na vely cling to his childhood beliefs. The world he is facing is brutal, dirty and unforgiving. John Wilson is a professional actor and fight director as well as the current Chair of the Department of Theatre and Dance at the University of Central Missouri. He has been at UCM for sixteen years and in that time directed over thirty-five productions. He has nearly thirty fight direction credits between professional theaters and universities across Missouri and Colorado, including ten such credits with the prestigious Kansas City Repertory Theatre, for their productions of Romeo and Juliet, August: Osage County, Angels In America, American Buffalo and others. John has acted in the regional premieres of Bug, The 39 Steps, The Hound of the Baskervilles, Unnecessary Farce and Visiting Mr. Green. Mr. Wilson is the current spokesperson for Communication Federal Credit Union and has appeared in dozens of commercials and two full-length films. John lives outside of Kansas City with his acting, directing, playwriting, blogger-wife, Jill.
