The Flight of 'The Arctic Fox' by Rory O'grady

'The Flight of The Arctic Fox' tells the riveting story of the lives of thirty-one passengers and crew on board a BEA Vickers Viscount flying from London to Naples in October 1958. Following a mid-air collision with a jet fighter over Nettuno in Italy, everyone on board died, including the author's brother, who was a member of the crew.
Rory O'Grady is an author who lives in Kent, south-east England. He lost his brother Terry in the tragic crash in 1958 of the plane 'The Arctic Fox' following a mid-air collision. In 2018 Rory met the son of the radio officer who had made it his mission to erect a permanent memorial to the victims of the crash. This led to a search for the bereaved families around the world, listening to their stories, and connecting many of the families for the first time. Rory is also the author of 'The Passionate Imperialists' (2018).
