The Football Business by David Conn
In eight years English football has been transformed. In 1989 clubs were still banned from Europe and the Hillsborough disaster exposed football's crumbling grounds. Today football is cleaned up and is also big business. The book examines the transformation, asking is it still a game or a business?
"piercing examination of the sharp-elbowed opportunists who formed, and took advantage of, the new league" The Independent
