Footwork by Roxane Orgill

Informative, with spry visuals. . . . A class act. -- Publishers Weekly (starred review)

In this fascinating story of child stars who dance their way to knockout success on Broadway and beyond, Roxane Orgill and St phane Jorisch team up for a bravura performance, capturing the sophistication, fluidity, and grace of two of the biggest names in dance history, Fred and Adele Astaire. Back matter includes an author's note, suggestions for further reading, suggested resources, and an index.

Roxane Orgill studied music history and theory in undergraduate and graduate school after playing the violin as a child. She has worked as a music critic for the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, the Bergen County (New Jersey) Record, the Milwaukee Journal, and Billboard for more than two decades. She's also the author of If I Only Had a Horn: Little Louis Armstrong, a picture book. Orgill lives in Hoboken, New Jersey, with her husband and little daughter.
