Forever the People by Paolo Hewitt
A follow-up to "Getting High", charting the progress of the pop group, Oasis. The author presents a diary of the group on tour, interviews with all five, and an examination of Noel Gallagher's lyrics. There is also coverage of Liam Gallagher's arrest for drug offences, and the brothers' marriages.
Hewitt, Paolo: - Paolo Hewitt has been for over thirty years one of the U.K.'s foremost writers on popular music. Cutting his teeth at the NME for seven years in the eighties, he also moonlighted as the 'Cappuccino Kid', whose musings and manifesti adorned the covers of Style Council albums. Paolo has written over twenty books, including Getting High: The Adventures of Oasis, Forever the People: Six Months on the Road with Oasis, Steve Marriott: All Too Beautiful (with John Hellier), and the novel Heaven's Promise (all available from Dean Street Press). Other than music, recurrent themes in his writing include mod culture, football and fashion.
