Framed by Ann Pointon

This volume offers an introduction to disability portrayal in film and television, raising the questions of whose images, views and voices reach the screen. Disabled actors and producers talk about the barriers that still exist for those who want to work in the industry and critiques from within the disability arts movement are linked to the potential for creating new images.
