This work provides a brief documentary history of the Dreyfus affair, the infamous episode in which a French Jewish army officer, Alfred Dreyfus, was unjustly convicted of treason in 1894 and 1899 and then acquitted and exonerated in 1906. The narrative is interspersed with approximately 65 brief documents. An annotated list of the principal players is included.
