FRANK SHORTER has won 24 national titles, as well as the 1972 Olympic marathon. Shorter was voted to the United States Senate as an advocate for children's rights and a frequent contributor to nationally televised broadcasts of distance running events. In 1984, he was inducted into the Olympic Hall of Fame. He lives in Boulder, Colorado.
