Mary Shelley (1797–1851) was a British writer. She wrote Frankenstein after reading ghost stories during a rainy holiday in Italy. Claire Bampton adapted Shelley's work into the graphic novel format, and has also adapted Bram Stoker's Frankenstein as a classic graphic novel pop-up. David Hawcock is a paper-engineer who has produced many jaw-dropping pop-up books, including Titanic (9781406301083), Moon Landing (9781406315271) and Gladiators (9781406309942).
