I also liked it when Frankie's friends left him on his own to not get punished. I think that you could make it a bit more clear that they were birds because I didn't really know at first. Ewan McGregor is a rival for Roald Dahl and if he wrote more books he could become very famous. If you've read The Famous Five or Secret Seven, you are bound to love this book. Though it is similar to some books, it is unique in it's own way, a perfect novel for readers that like mysteries.
