Steffen Pedersen is a Danish international master. When he was 16, he earned a grandmaster norm and competed in many World and European junior championships. He was a joint winner of the Hampstead Grandmaster competition in 1998, and at the Aars get2net Cup in 1999, he earned his second grandmaster norm. He is the author of several well-regarded opening books, including the Dutch Defense, Sicilian Scheveningen, Benko Gambit, and Semi-Slav.
