If we are to be successful in our personal walk with God, if we are to have ministries that are powerful and life changing, it is imperative that we be well nourished daily. This nourishment comes from reading, reflecting on and putting into practice the Word of God. The Word is our daily bread.Manna, the bread from heaven was provided daily for God's people while journeying in the wilderness. This manna was not just for physical nourishment, but also served as a graphic reminder that the Word of God is food and fuel for our lives. Exodus 16 shares how God's daily provision worked. Fresh manna was provided daily. Every morning manna was available to God's people. Yesterday's portion of manna would not sustain them. Each new day required a fresh serving of bread.
In a similar way, we need a fresh Word from God daily. We grow from the nutrients and energy gained from devouring our daily bread. This book, "Fresh Manna", is designed to not only give you exciting revelations from the four Canonical Gospels, but to inspire and encourage you to seek fresh manna yourself every time you open the Word of God. We believe God still communicates to and through willing human vessels. We believe He does this through ordinary people. The writers of the Gospels as well as those they wrote about were common ordinary people, like you, and the Francois' who contributed to this collection of reflections. God can and will speak to and through anyone who is willing to connect with God daily.
The reflections on each of the Gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John are not intended to be exhaustive in scope. Our intention is not to produce a full commentary on the first four books of the New Testament. We simply desire to model the power of inspiration through reflection. Each contributor read from their assigned Gospel, reflected prayerfully on what was read, then chronicled those reflections. From this came fresh insights and understandings that enhances our personal walk with God and enriches our preaching and teaching. Fresh revelation at times is vastly different from the traditional ways of looking at or interpreting Bible passages. Because of this, your thinking and understanding will be challenged. We encourage you to be open-minded as you read. Be willing to allow God to show you fresh insights and revelations. Be inspired. Be blessed.
Brennan Francois is the founder and CEO of public speaking organization DYNAMIC LIVING, Inc. For more than 30 years he has motivated, challenged and inspired audiences across the globe. He joined the pastoral care team at Augusta University Medical Center (Formally, the Medical College of Georgia) in February of 1995 and continues to serve there with grace and distinction as the Associate Director of Pastoral Care. Brennan is an accomplished Orator, Life Coach and Conference Speaker. Through DYNAMIC LIVING, Inc. Brennan presents at major conferences in the fields of Education, Health Care, Business Leadership, Employee Engagement, Customer Service, Positivity in the Work Place, and Personal Growth, to name a few.
