The Russell Award for Outstanding Research in English Teaching is given to an individual who has made significant contributions to the field of English teaching. Communication Education, English Journal, Journal of Adolescent & Adult Literacy, Journal of Educational Research, Journal of Literacy Research, and Research in the Teaching of English have all published his work.
