James Rettie's From Chest to Chancel is an inspiring and entertaining account of how a humble hill farmer's son became a preacher in the Church of Scotland and a revered authority on and leader of The Ministry of Divine Healing. This is his story.
The Reverend James Rettie was born in 1935 in Aberdeen and lives in Inverness Scotland. He is a retired Minister Of The Gospel and leader of The Ministry Of Divine Healing. He is a widower with two daughters, two granddaughters and two great granddaughters. He first trained as a missionary serving the Home Board of the Church of Scotland. He established a congregation at the Barn Church, Culloden, Inverness. He went on to train for the Ministry of Word and Sacrament. He served his probationary period as a Minister in the Presbytery of Lanark and thereafter as Minister of Melness and Tongue Church in Sutherland. Then he was led into the Ministry of Divine Healing which after retirement, took him to places like Malawi, South Africa and the DRC. His favourite activities are fishing, teaching and preaching.
