From Vultures to Vampires - volume one 1995-2004 by David Pleasance

From Vultures to Vampires Volume 1 (1995–2004) offers a true and fascinating account of the fate of Commodore Internationals’ assets after the New York auction sale in 1995. A roller-coaster ride complete with dizzying highs and depressing lows as corporations, both large and small, together with key individuals fought to resurrect the Amiga’s fortunes. An intriguing and twisted tale involving trademarks, patents, copyrights and law suits and the story of dedicated and passionate people who refused to let the dream die.
David John Pleasance has led an incredible life, travelling extensively to work in Australia, Switzerland, Dominican Republic, USA and of course his native UK. In his twenties he was a professional Flamenco guitarist, appearing on television and playing extensive concerts theatres and cabaret. Following a change of career to sales and marketing, in 1983 he joined Commodore just after they launched the Commodore 64. He was highly successful, personally selling an estimated 2.2 million home computers, and was one of the longest serving executives in Commodore with over twelve years at senior international level.
