Frost, Terry: Black White and Red by Mel Gooding
Terry Frost is one of the leading British painters of the Twentieth Century. Although uncompromisingly abstract, his work is nevertheless based on observation, often attempting to convey the sensation of being in a landscape. This title is published to accompany "Painting not Painting" at Tate St Ives which places Frost in the context of a group of younger artists.
Mel Gooding is an art historian, writer and curator. He has taught at Edinburgh and Wimbledon Schools of Art, among others, and contributes regularly to the art press.
