In Carlsbad, California, he presently resides. He's been doing origami since the early 1960s, and his creations have been displayed throughout the United States, Japan, Europe, and Israel. He is the co-author of Decorative Origami Boxes from Single Squares (British Origami Society, 2003), Unfolding Mathematics with Origami Boxes (Key Curriculum Publishing, 2006), and Fun with Folded Fabric Boxes (C&T Publications, 2007). In addition, he has written or co-authored about 15 papers on origami in K-12 mathematics instruction.
He's currently working on models that just require a low-intermediate level of folding competence and can be used to supplement geometry instruction in middle and high school. He is the coordinator of the Greater San Diego Origami Group at the moment.
