The feel-good place to buy books

Funny Bunch:Tess Plays Games (PB) by Lydia Monks
Tess is a rather bossy little cat. When her friends come to play, she wants to be in charge of the games. But will Tess learn to take turns? Lift the big flaps to reveal how Tess' friends show her how to play fairly. Written and illustrated by the talented Lydia Monks, this delighful - and ultimately reassuring - lift-the-flap story explores the wonders of young children's imaginations. With bright, quirky illustrations and four endearing animal characters, the Funny Bunch stories deal with everyday toddler issues, such as anxiety, sharing, and showing consideration for others.
Lydia Monks has a unique style which combines paintwork with collage. She won the Smarties Bronze Award for I Wish I Were A Dog (Methuen) in 1999, and has illustrated several picture books for Macmillan, including Madeleine The City Pig (0 333 73945 0) and Esmerelda (0 333 76051 4). This is her first project with Campbell Books.
