Gearoid O Tuathaigh is Emeritus Professor in History at NUI Galway and former Vice-President of NUI Galway. He has written and contributed to numerous publications and is a former member of the USA-Ireland Fulbright Commission. He has been visiting Professor/Distinguished Lecturer in numerous universities and is currently a member of the Council of State.
