Galatians: The Christian Standard Commentary by Timothy George

Galatians is part of The Christian Standard Commentary (CSC) series. This commentary series focuses on the theological and exegetical concerns of each biblical book, while paying careful attention to balancing rigorous scholarship with practical application.

This series helps the reader understand each biblical book's theology, its place in the broader narrative of Scripture, and its importance for the church today. Drawing on the wisdom and skills of dozens of evangelical authors, the CSC is a tool for enhancing and supporting the life of the church.

Timothy George is a famous professor of divinity at the Beeson Divinity School, which is nondenominational. He was the school's first dean, serving from 1989 until 2019. Dr. George is the author of more than twenty works, including the main textbook on the subject, Theology of the Reformers. He is also the general editor of the Reformation Commentary on Scripture, which has 28 volumes. He is a Southern Baptist Convention ordained minister. Dr. George earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, his master's degree from Harvard Divinity School, and his doctorate from Harvard University.
