The Garden Bird Book by Sarah Whittley
Provides information for anyone wanting to recognize and identify the birds that visit their garden. This book offers visual advice on how to attract birds to your garden, types of food to put out, which bird feeders and nestboxes to go for, and what to do with seemingly 'lost' baby birds. It includes annotated illustrations to aid in recognition.
SARAH WHITTLEY was the founder of the Wildlife Art Agency, which she set up to encourage more young artists into natural history illustration. An expert naturalist and keen birder, she was the author of Snakes: A Golden Guide (St Martin's Press) and The RSPB First Book of Garden Birds (with Mike Unwin). Sarah now owns The Pinkfoot Gallery in Cley, Norfolk, a natural history art gallery and bookshop. DAN COLE is one of Britain's foremost bird artists and a winner of Bird Illustrator of the Year. He has illustrated many natural history books, including A Field Guide to the Birds of South-East Asia (New Holland) and Pheasants, Partridges and Grouse (Christopher Helm).
