The Gardening Club by John Boman

We all like to have a good moan when we get together with friends, putting the world to rights. So it is with the five retired men, the 'gardening club', who share a shed on the town's allotments. One January day they decide to stop grumbling and instead take action against the local vandals and other 'pests'. They only want to teach the yobs a lesson, but their 'pest control' plans are farcical and lead to disaster. What began as a bit of fun to pass the winter days turns into tragedy. The black humour pervading this story grows darker.
