
Martyn Cox was the features editor of BBC Gardeners' World magazine, the deputy editor of Gardenlife, and a member of the Amateur Gardening and Horticulture Week editorial teams. He now works as a freelance writer, writing a weekly gardening piece for the Mail on Sunday and a monthly column for Saga Magazine, saga.co.uk, and Grow It. Martyn also contributes to the Guardian, Sainsbury's Magazine, Grand Designs, the Daily Telegraph, The English Garden, Homes & Gardens, and the Times Magazine on a regular basis. He's written seven books, including 101 Plants for Trouble Locations, 101 Suggestions for Tiny Gardens, Large Gardens in Little Spaces: Irreverent Advice for Urban Gardeners, Gardening with Kids, and the RHS Wildlife Garden, which won an award. Martyn received his horticulture education at Writtle College in Essex and has extensive gardening expertise. He is a member of the Garden Media Guild and owns a little garden in East London that he opens for charity every year.
