GARDENS IN WATERCOLOUR by Jelbert Wendy
This study of watercolour methods and materials looks at the medium as one which is ideal for painting garden subjects. The book includes a look at the materials needed, the techniques involved, "tricks of the trade", step-by-step examples, textured painting and how to incorporate figures, birds and animals in the painting. Suggestions are also given on developing the imagination and on using sketch books. There are chapters on props, special sections of a garden such as a patio or water garden, and studies of specific and famous gardens such as Wisely and Monet's garden at Giverny.
