PATRICK TAYLOR, M.D., was born and raised in Northern Ireland's Bangor County Down. He is the New York Times bestselling author of the Irish Country series, which began with An Irish Country Doctor and continues with An Irish Country Doctor. Dr. Taylor is a well-known medical researcher, an offshore sailor, a model-boat builder, and the father of two grown children. He presently resides on British Columbia's Saltspring Island.
