Genderqueer by Dave Naz
In Genderqueer, Dave Naz explores the gender spectrum in an entirely new way -- by turning his camera on subjects that are genderqueer, transgender, intersex, pangender, and every shade in between. Helping to add to the current global discussion on the structured nature of gender identity, Genderqueer is an eye-opening musing on all of the people who don't fit neatly into a convenient box.
Born in Los Angeles in 1969, Dave Naz is a photographer whose work revolves around the varied identities and personae of our time. He has published seven books, Genderqueer is his eighth. Naz's photographs are shown in galleries all over the world. His work has appeared in GQ, Maxim, Stern.de, and Salon. Several of Naz's photos appear in the artwork of Richard Prince. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife, Oriana, and their menagerie of artwork and animals.
