Glass Dragons by Sean Mcmullen
Glass Dragons continues the tale of Laron, the chivalrous 700-year-old vampire, the appallingly dangerous and beautiful Velander, and the long-suffering Terikel, as they investigate a sort of magical Manhattan Project which threatens to fall into the wrong hands. It is a broad and complicated tale, filled with wonderful characters both new and old, woven through with low humour and great courage.Sean McMullen is a well-known science fiction novelist in Australia. With the publishing of the Greatwinter trilogy (which includes Souls in the Great Machine, The Miocene Arrow, and Eyes of the Calculor), he established himself in the American market, and he is also the author of The Moonworlds Saga and The Centurion's Empire. Sean's art takes place in a variety of locations, from the Roman Empire to Medieval Europe to future cities. Sean worked in student reviews and theatre for several years, as well as lead vocalist in three rock and folk bands and two years at the Melbourne State Opera before starting to write.
