The Glass Heart by Sally Gardner
The story of three princesses with glass hearts. One got broken; one was badly cracked; but the heart that belonged to the youngest princess stayed intact, thanks to a young man who loved her enough to learn about glass. Sally Gardner has chosen to set the book in long-ago Venice. Every bit as original in its approach as THE FAIRY CATALOGUE, and told in her own unique and enchanting voice, it is a delicious story of love and kindness that has something for everyone whose heart was ever touched.
