There is no other book that deals with the issue so well or in comparable detail. This is a well-balanced, well-organized text, written in a very student-friendly way.' - Chris Rumford, Professor in Political Sociology and Global Politics, Royal Holloway, University of London, UK "Globalization and the Nation State is a well-written and clearly structured book with introductions into the history of globalisation, global economy, global polity, global public sphere and culture. The book navigates the reader through key themes associated with globalisation, including cities, civil society organisations, multinational enterprises, long-distance trade, global production networks, kin-based chain migrations, global civilisation, poly-ethnicity, supranational regulatory bodies and institutions, global webs and interconnectivity, multi-centred global field and hybridisation.
