Photographer Aleks Gjika has captured Gloucestershire's essence in this collection of stunning images, displaying the county at its best. For those who are proud to live in the county, as well as those visiting, this book is a must. Look through these photographs and you will quickly see why this corner of England has such enduring appeal.
Aleks Gjika is a landscape, nature and portrait photographer based in Gloucester. He grew up in the mountains of southern Albania, and after spending some years in Greece, came to live in the UK in 1999. He knew nothing about photography then. However he loved nature and quickly fell in love with Gloucestershire. He was inspired by the diversity of landscapes and the ever-changing weather, which were both very new and remarkable to him. He wanted to witness this splendor, record it masterfully, then share it with others. This is how his photography journey begun.
