He is the Associate Editor of the groundbreaking Golf Punk magazine and is a regular contributor to the Observer newspaper's Sport Monthly magazine, the Guardian and The Sunday Times. For his first book, Letting The Big Dog Eat, a biography of American golfer John Daly, he was awarded the Best New Writer Award at the National Sports Book Of The Year Awards in May 2004.
