For Starstruck (Tricycle Theatre, London, 1998), which jointly received the 31st John Whiting Award and the EMMA Award 1999, he was the inaugural recipient of the Alfred Fagon Award in 1997. The George Devine Prize for 2000 was to Lift Off (Royal Court Theatre Upstairs, 1999).
