Speaking to a mixed audience of Christians, religious pluralists, skeptics and inquirers at the national universities of Costa Rica, Steven R. Martins, founding director of the C ntaro Institute, delivered a series of lectures relating to the truthfulness of the Christian worldview.

In this collection of lectures, entitled God, Man, the Bible & Life, Martins answers the questions: Can we trust the Bible to be God's infallible and inspired word? How does Jesus' exclusivist claims measure up against other religious worldviews in our pluralist age? Can man live without the God of Christianity? And how do we reconcile a sovereign and good God with the evil in our world? Also included is a paper that was submitted on the Muslim and Christian mind, an analytical comparison between the epistemological foundations of Islam and Christianity.

Altogether Martins' unifying thesis is that the truthfulness of the Christian worldview is based on the impossibility of the contrary.

Martins, Steven R.: - Steven R. Martins is the founding director of the Cü¾Œ–”¼ntaro Institute and founding pastor of Sevilla Chapel in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada. A second-generation Canadian, Steven is of Ibero-American parentage and has worked in the fields of missional apologetics and church leadership for several years. He has spoken at numerous conferences, churches, and University student events, from York University, Toronto, to the University of West Indies in Port of Spain, Trinidad, and the national Universities of Costa Rica (UNCR and UNC), and the Evangelical University of El Salvador. He has also contributed articles to Coaliciü¾Œ¶˜¼n por el Evangelio (TGC in Spanish) and the Siglo XXI journal of Editorial CLIR. Steven holds a Master's degree summa cum laude in Theological Studies with a focus on Christian apologetics from Veritas International University (Santa Ana, CA., USA) and a Bachelor of Human Resource Management from York University (Toronto, ON., Canada). Steven has served on the executive board for Answers in Genesis Canada, and has served in the past with the Ezra Institute for Contemporary Christianity (EICC) as a staff apologist, writer and director of ministry development and advancement (DMDA) for four years. He has also served pastorally at Harbour Fellowship Church in St. Catharines. Steven is married to Cindy and lives in Niagara with their two children.
