Cohen, Stan B.: - Stan Cohen, a native of West Virginia, is a graduate geologist and spent two summers working in Alaska as a geologist for the US Forest Service. For years he spent part of every summer in Alaska and the Yukon researching and writing about the North Country. He established Pictorial Histories Publishing Company in 1976 and has since authored or coauthored 71 pictorial history books and published over 350.His North Country titles include: The Streets Were Paved with Gold; The Forgotten War series; The Trail of 42; The White Pass and Yukon Route; Yukon River Steamboats; Rails Across the Tundra; 8.6 The Great Alaska Earthquake; and Flying Beats Work. He lives in Missoula, Montana with his wife Anne.
