Praise for Curtis Stone
Curtis Stone loves to cook. Unlike so many chefs, cooking's not a job to him. It's a joy. And you feel that every time he slips behind a stove.--Ruth Reichl
Curtis Stone is an award-winning chef, TV host, and New York Times bestselling book who has worked all over the world. Curtis was born in Melbourne, Australia, and discovered his love of food while watching his grandmother, Maude, prepare her famous fudge. After finishing culinary school, he worked at the Savoy Hotel in Melbourne before moving to London to train under Marco Pierre White, the famed three-star Michelin chef. Curtis made multiple appearances in the United Kingdom while living in London. Before capturing the attention of television producers in Australia and the United States, she did food shows.
Curtis has hosted and guest-starred on a number of primetime television shows, most recently as a coach on Food Network's blockbuster show All-Star Academy. Curtis' first solo restaurant, Maude (named after his grandmother), debuted in Beverly Hills in February 2014, bringing him full circle. The James Beard Foundation (Best New Restaurant semifinalist), Time/Travel & Leisure (one of the world's greatest new restaurants), Eater LA (2014's Restaurant of the Year), LA Weekly (2014's Best New Restaurant), Los Angeles Magazine (four out of four stars), Angeleno, and others have all praised Maude.
