The Good Thief by James Buchanan

What if the wrong guy, turns out to be the right guy for you? Caesar Serrano thought he screwed up when he landed in the bed of LAPD Officer Nathan Reilly. But when Caesar breaks into the wrong house and stumbles upon a heinous crime, implicating a high ranking LAPD officer, Nate is the only person he knows to turn to. The resulting investigation throws the Blue Brigade into panic. Now he's running for his life and Nate is his only hope for survival. Can two men, on opposite sides of the law, come together to bring a monster to justice?
Buchanan, Jermaine: - Jermaine Buchanan attended private schools through 7th grade and soared academically. He won scholarships for writing essays and was on his way to a sound lifestyle. Yet, shortly after leaving middle school, he found another love: the streets. Quickly adapting to the fast life of Norwalk, Jermaine sadly became a product of his environment. After a few close calls with death and brushed with the law, Jermaine, was not detoured by his misfortune, and adopted the street name Ski, to validate his status. Although the experience of incarceration in 1999, especially a lengthy four Life sentences, is different for everyone, Jermaine's experience was highly unusual, and considerably more difficult than that of the vast majority of inmates because of the serious and protracted medical issues that he has faced serving his term. Most dramatically, in 2005, only a year after his arrival at USP Allenwood, and at the age of 28, he suddenly began experiencing serious pain in his legs, and lost his ability to walk. That was only the beginning of a long difficult struggle in which he suffered multiple broken bones in his hands, and feet, and had to use a wheelchair for more than five years while experienced diagnosis and treatments were sought for the problem, during which period he also experienced debilitating pain. In 2006, he was initially diagnosed with chronic Psoriatic arthritis, a serious degenerative condition causing inflammation of the joints in the extremities, which severe cases can result in broken bones in the fingers and feet. While confined, he has come to realize he loves writing and it functions as art for him. On March 13, 2015, Jermaine Buchanan Life sentences were overturned and he was resentenced to a total of 365 months. Due to scandalous procedures from the FBI behind closed doors, Mr. Buchanan opinion is unpublished, but he soon will be a free man to reunite with his family. Jermaine extends the challenge to all readers to go within themselves, look within and extract from within the power of praise, the power of purpose, and the power of prayer to overcome adversity, tragedy, and misfortune. Mr. Buchanan enjoys sharing his story with the world, and he has prevailed in spite of his past and present mishaps. Ink Pen Kings Publishing is happy to have him apart of the family.
