Stevan Davies is a religious studies professor at Misericordia University who has spent over thirty years researching non-canonical gospels and actions. The Gospel of Thomas: Annotated and Explained, The Hidden Book of John: The Gnostic Gospel--Annotated and Explained (both SkyLight Paths), and The Rebellion of the Widows: The Social World of the Apocryphal Acts (all SkyLight Paths) are some of his works. New Testament Foundations and Jesus the Healer: Possession, Trance, and the Origins of Christianity are two of his publications about the canonical Christian texts.
