Having to retire as a professional chef because of a serious illness at the early age of 45 in 2017, I decided to create my own food and travel blog called 'Recipes From My Travels', helping businesses in the hospitality and tourism industry plus writing and creating recipes from my visits locally and from around the world.
Now it's 2021, I'm still grateful for life and I'm so lucky to have a loving family and great friends by my side.
Since 2018, when I created my blog, I have been lucky enough to have added to the beautiful places that I've visited, here in the UK and around the world......even more so to write about my experiences.
In the space of a couple of years I've became a published author with my first book "Recipes from My Travels, Great Britain and Cornwall edition one".
I've had two eBooks: "New York, New York" which is my own personal and emotional diary of my youngest Son, Jay's and my visit to New York and another cookbook called "Recipes from My Kitchen".
Along With my children I have created two other food blogs, 'Completely Cornwall' and 'Brummagem Rubs & Spices'.
We have our own website under the logo "RFMT" where we continue to promote businesses in the hospitality and tourism industry around the world. On the website it has an online shop where you can purchase our own cookbooks, merchandise and our very own brand of rubs and spices and seasoned sea salts, all made by the "RFMT" family.
I've also been fortunate to have been asked by local newspapers "Bromsgrove Standard" and the "Coventry observer" and "Voyagers Voice" magazine to write food and travel articles and regular feature columns.
And with over 8,000 followers and millions of reaches worldwide, we continue to grow.
