Did your granny carry a purse, pocketbook, handbag or clutch bag, Did she carry a purse on different occasions whether to match a pair of shoes, an outfit or a hat? A different purse would be carried in the summer, fall, spring or winter. I can remember the many bags carried by my grannies, mom, aunts, cousins and their many friends, some purses were passed down from generation to generation.
